DENVER CENTER FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDIES

DENVER CENTER FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDIES

YEARBOOK 2019

One day someone will be pulling this book out from a dusty attic. I wanted the design to last and stand out. Stand for something more than just another cheesy yearbook theme. As an international school (it’s in the name), I wanted the cover to represent the diverse student body and various backgrounds from which we all came. Minimal, yet standing the test of time, so far.

Leading a room of high schoolers who had better things to do in a dimly lit classroom at lunch was tough, but we all pulled it together in the last few weeks - a habit I have taken with me throughout the rest of my life. Enjoy this CMYK nightmare for what it is.

  • No class. No club. Just kids who wanted to make a book. The timeline? Less than a semester.

  • I created an IMC campaign for this book when I didn’t even know what a campaign was. We had a record of slow sales from years past, so I made ads to get the parents hyped - cause you know the kids didn’t care. Maybe this was the start of my art direction pursuit in college.
