Ugly Duckling
Nike Air Max 1 Premium
You guys remember that Ugly Duckling tale we were told as kids? This shoe plays homage to that with a duck embroidered on the rear of the sneaker. As always, I like to have a Ted Lasso-inspired piece and this shoe serves as a friendly reminder to “Be Curious, Not Judgemental”. I even threw on a horrid yellow background so you would judge it harshly at first.

Why So Sad? x Nike Dunk Low SB
This shoe is a frequent flier on my feet and is basically worn down - for good reason. Nike, in partnership with Why So Sad? created this Dunk to drive awareness, education, and fundraising around mental wellbeing & suicide prevention. The shoe has carefully constructed details that remind us to seek help when needed and to show that we can get better. It holds a special place in my heart.

Tom Sachs x Nike Craft General Purpose Shoe
Nike. The clothing giant. A king of advertising called this shoe Boring. That was it. That was how they launched them. Just, boring. The GPS subscribes to the mentality that it is not a fashion item, but rather a tool. Gives me the Patagonia ‘Don’t Buy This Jacket’ vibe. It’s actually a really great shoe and with chonky rubber soles, it’s built to last.

Nike Air Force 1 Low
I’m not one for flashy shoes. If anything, I hate them. But something about this pair of Air Force 1s spoke to me. Commonly referred to as an Earth Day shoe, this sneaker features breathtaking illustrations that always draw the attention of a room. I might not wear these all that often, but you can bet your ass I’m wearing these to an art museum - or bowling. They really do feel like bowling shoes because of the leather.
